What is Komut?
Komut is a social discovery platform built around everyday journeys whether going to office, univeristy, or anywhere else. You connect with people nearby or going your way to make daily commutes more social, affordable, and enjoyable.
Does Komut match me with someone?
You stay in control. Komut helps you explore people traveling nearby or along your route, then you choose who to connect with.
What happens after I connect with someone?
Once a connection is accepted, you can coordinate directly and plan the commute in a way that works for both of you.
Is Komut a ride-hailing or taxi service?
No. Komut is not a ride-hailing or taxi service to make profit. It is a social discovery platform that helps explore and connect with others going the same way. Komut does not assign drivers or passengers, book rides, or operate transportation services.
Can I use Komut as a driver or passenger?
Yes. You can choose how you want to participate in each commute. You can create routes as a driver or as a passenger, and switch between the two when your plans change.
How does sharing expenses work?
Drivers can set a contribution amount for a route based on the estimated cost of the journey. The goal is to share reasonable commuting expenses such as fuel, tolls, and vehicle running costs—not to turn everyday commuting into a profit-making service.
Is there any fees to use Komut?
Yes, Only for drivers to connect with others. Upon accepting a connection 2 credits will be deducted from the driver's account. The credits are used to support the platform and help keep it running. Passengers can connect with drivers for free.
How to get credits to connect with others?
You are given 6 free bonus credits when you sign up. Further, you can top up credits in the app.
